Our rent and taxes continue to increase, our area is consumed by the homeless, thieves and trash with City and State agencies abandoning their responsibilities and ignoring our pleas to address the disaster of our area and community. For eight years, lawlessness, blight, homeless camps, foul language, racing cars, marauding dogs, drugs, fires, out of control rats, crime, burglaries, trash, trash and more trash, walking zombies 24 hours/day, needles, defecation, urination, stolen and burning vehicles, murder and more have suffocated our business and plagued the local area….and the countless requests through calls, emails, letters and in-person visits to Sacramento City Council’s and Mayor’s Offices for help have been ignored. Three mayors and three district councilmen and one governor have done nothing to address this carnival act and circus show of poor policies and governmental mismanagement of our tax dollar. They have disregarded, disrespected and ignored the value of small business and the importance of our business to the community, state and nation. We have spent thousands of dollars of our own money and countless hours cleaning the streets and removing trash surrounding us, removing graffiti (only to be fined by our own councilman for not removing in time), repairing fences cut through nightly, removing abandoned vehicles and trash blocking our gates, paying for live security, dealing with armed homeless threats, going to court, filing police reports, breathing pot smoke and toxic fumes from illegal fires, removing vagrants and homeless sleeping at our front door, dealing with zombies and criminals entering our store and coming onto our property daily (now we must lock our business front door during regular business hours), and more only to receive increased taxes, a blind eye and deaf ear to our desperate calls for assistance to this mayhem. What a joke the City of Sacramento is. What a joke the state of California is when you have these politicians in power and position, writing, approving and upholding!!!!! nonsense policy, ignoring the need for safety and support for small businesses and instead favoring lawlessness and homeless camps while being paid far too much each year to sit on their ass in offices refusing to uphold the duties of their positions and have any sense of accountability. Numerous times we have invited the City Councilman and Mayor to come visit our business, neighborhood and local dump for a first hand view of this S-Hole area….never to show up. Instead they have their helpers reply via email, calls informing us we need to call 311. Joke! The City Councilman has a duty to his constituents, especially tax-paying businesses, and especially ones that have been supporting the community since the 1960s, and when politely asked to visit our business IN PERSON and see first hand the out-of-control situation, instead sends over his “A-team” to address our request….one time and one time only. Instead of doing any research about our company, they simply walked in and blurted out, “How can we help?” When shown video of the nonsense we deal with they abruptly refused to watch. When we asked if they knew anything about our business and who we were, the “Chief of Staff” YELLED out…..”DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM?” Uhhhhhh. yeah…..an IDIOT. And off they walked. This is the great team of District 2 and the same for the Mayor’s who all drink the same Kool Aid and ride the same horse. Joke! We have lost countless customers and hundreds of thousands of dollars to this nonsense, crime, homeless camps and the trash that surrounds us. Customers routinely comment on what a horrible, dangerous and disgusting state the area is surrounding us. Even the landlord’s rent collector feels extremely scared having a guard escort her to pick up the mail/checks. What a sad situation the representatives of this State and City have put us in with the apathy and disinterest they show to those who actually bring revenue and a sense of pride to the neighborhood, community and City and State.
